Rotterdam Architecture Month

#RAM19 has come to an end!

Almost 60,000 visitors at The Rotterdam Architecture Month
The Rotterdam Architecture Month looks back on a successful fourth edition. The extensive program with lectures, debates, tours and architecture festivals, attracted nearly 60,000 visitors in total. An increase of more than
15,000 visitors compared to last year.

POST attracts a lot of attention
Many people made a final visit to POST Podium in recent weeks to take a final look at the historic building before it is transformed. Especially for the Rotterdam Architecture Month, the former post office on the Coolsingel once again opened it´s doors to the general public. Nearly 27,000 people took also the opportunity to see the scale-models of image-defining projects such as Feyenoord City, Hart van Zuid, Rijnhaven and the city center.

Layered city
Within the theme “the layered city” visitors could experience different layers of Rotterdam. Literally through a zip line during the Rotterdam Roof Days, or on a journey of discovery through secret cellars and abandoned tram stations during Parfum de BoemBoem, but also in-depth with programs on the transformation of monumental heritage and lectures by Eran Chen (ODA New York), Adriaan Geuze (WEST8) and Wim Pijbes (Droom&Daad).

Well-attended events
The Rotterdam Roof Days (Rotterdamse Dakendagen) experienced a successful edition. More than 22,000 visitors visited the extensive program on 65 roofs. The final weekend of the Bauhaus exhibition with the Bauhausfest of Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen also attracted a large audience. The Rotterdam Architecture Month ended last weekend with a well-attended edition of the Day of Architecture, which attracted more than 8,000 visitors.
